edit Increased demand makes it a good invesment

Carbon Trading makes a good investment because energy demands of the world are constantly and rapidly growing. Currently most of the energy is and will be produced by burning coal, oil or gas, which all produce carbon dioxide. Nuclear power and alternative sources of energy cannot replace the fossil fuels for now.

edit Increased trade between first and third world countries due to carbon credits

Undeveloped countries are likely to sell their credits of carbon emissions to more developed ones because it is easier to sell "energy" that has not been produced than to produce it themselves. Developed countries are thus likely to buy carbon emissions credits to sustain their current energy demands.

edit Kyoto protocol will make the prices of the carbon emissions go up

If the Kyoto Protocol becomes part of international law, then the global production of CO2 will become known constant without any substitute on the market. Price of the Carbon Emission can only grow.
