RainTree Oncology Services Announces the Addition of Tennessee Cancer Specialists

SAN DIEGO, March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- RainTree Oncology Services today announced its newest member, Tennessee Cancer Specialists. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee Cancer Specialists is a leader in community-based comprehensive cancer care. The practice addition expands RainTree Oncology's network to 504 physicians.

RainTree Oncology aims to improve efficiencies within community oncology practices in several ways: 1) by facilitating the formation of a community oncology network allied with RainTree Oncology through which members can obtain oral oncology pharmaceuticals at favorably contracted prices; 2) by helping with the implementation of on-site pharmacies for those practices that do not have one, providing added convenience for patients and an important source of revenue for physicians; and 3) by automating oral prescription tracking and fulfillment in order to improve patient adherence to prescribed therapeutics.

RainTree Oncology has teamed with Metro Medical Supply, Inc. for speciality distribution of oral pharmaceutical products. The Company is working with Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy to implement clinical and adherence-enhancing medication management programs.
