Final disposal of processed fuel or reprocessed spent fuel has yet to come into mainstream agenda of most countries. Most of the countries have resorted to long-term storage of these spent fuels with no future indication of their disposal. America has gone as far as selecting a site for one, at Yucca Mountain, in Nevada. Although it’s not an immediate problem as most countries can store the nuclear waste for decades without causing any harm to human. Eventually, though, this problem has to be addressed.
