Further Wishlist There is limited information about the influence / correlation of interest rates, governmental activity and no about the impact on the tech sector in the article. Any external factors (e.g. global price levels, cycles) are also missing.

Wowza, this is poorly written. Booms and busts are not two categories of cycles; they are two parts of single cycles. Also, for the picture, the economy is not contracting when gdp is growing. The recession and contraction occur in the same part of the cycle; the boom and expansion are also the same part of the cycle.
