Oats futures are delivered every year in March, May, July, September, & December.[1]

Contract Specifications
Contract Size
One Oats futures contract on the Chicago Board of Trade is 5,000 bushels.[1]
Daily Price Limit
$0.20 per bushel expandable to $0.30 and then to $0.45 when the market closes at limit bid or limit offer. There shall be no price limits on the current month contract on or after the second business day preceding the first day of the delivery month.[1]
Last Trading Day
Trading of Oats futures contracts on the Chicago Board of Trade ends on the business day prior to the 15th calendar day of the contract month.[1]
Deliverable Grades
Deliverable Oats grades for futures contracts on the Chicago Board of Trade are: No. 2 Heavy and No. 1 at par. No. 1 Extra Heavy at 7 cents per bushel over contract price. No. 2 Extra Heavy at 4 cents per bushel over contract price, and No. 1 Heavy at 3 cents per bushel over contract price. No. 2(36 pound total minimum test weight) at 3 cents per bushel under contract price and No. 2 (34 pound total minimum test weight) at 6 cents per bushel under contract price.[1]
