Palladium futures are traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange under ticker symbol PA in U.S. dollars and cents per troy ounce.[1]

Delivery Dates

Palladium futures are delivered every year in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November and December (all months).[1]

Contract Size

One Palladium futures contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange is 100 troy ounces.[1]

Tick Value

$0.05 (5¢) per troy ounce ($5.00 per contract).[1]

Daily Price Limit

No price limits.[1]

Trading Hours

  • On the CME Globex electronic platform: 6:00 PM until 5:15 PM Sunday through Friday. There is a 45-minute break each day between 5:15PM (current trade date) and 6:00 PM (next trade date), New York Time.[1]
  • Open Outcry (pit session): 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM, New York Time.[1]

Last Trading Day

Trading terminates at the close of business on the third business day prior to the end of the delivery month.[1]

Deliverable Grades

In fulfillment of each contract, the seller must deliver 100 troy ounces (±7%) of palladium not less than .9995 fineness, with no single piece weighing less than 10 ounces. Each contract unit may consist of ingots or plates, each incised with the lot or bar number, weight, grade, name, or logo of the assayer, and symbol identifying the metal.[1]
