The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index is a broad market capitalization-based index designed to measure the performance of securities listed on the TSX Venture Exchange,
Canada’s public venture equity market. It is calculated and managed by Standard & Poor’s.
The index does not have a fixed number of issuers and is revised quarterly. TSX Venture Exchange issuers are eligible for inclusion in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index if they are incorporated under Canadian federal, provincial or territorial jurisdictions and represent a relative weight of at least 0.05% of the total index market capitalization. Stocks eligible for inclusion must generally be listed on TSX Venture Exchange for at least 12 full calendar months as of the effective date of the quarterly revision.
