The new Image ATM Balancing Module will simplify the back-office processing and collection of imaged checks deposited at NCR Corporation (NCR) image-enabled ATMs. The new module was developed to provide advanced solutions to NCR users as a result of Summit's partnership agreement with NCR.
Summit.NET's Image ATM Balancing Module allows a bank to seamlessly import imaged check transactions from a network of NCR Image-enabled ATMs, perform CAR and MICR line recognition, balance transactions, and create an industry standard X9.37 file for electronic collection and processing. Combining NCR's ATMs and Aptra Consolidation Server software with the Summit.NET system provides financial institutions with a streamlined system for processing ATM transactions.
In addition to streamlining ATM deposits, this new software module will offer other benefits to financial institutions including extending deposit deadlines, providing labor savings in the branch and back-office, and reducing costs from courier runs and paper costs. Another benefit of this new product is the reduction of fraud from "empty envelope" deposits.
"Summit's Image ATM Balancing Module allows any organization with a network of NCR image-enabled ATMs to focus on providing new products and services to retain its existing customers and attract new deposits," said Ron Thill, President of Summit Financial Solutions. "This new software solution provides the user with a robust solution to streamline the overall workflow of checks deposited at the ATM."
