NAMUR, Belgium, October 27 /PRNewswire/ --
- Wide Range of Qualifiers are now Available on Various Sites for the
Belgium Open Poker Championships; Satellite all the way to Namur for as
Little as $2
Online qualifiers are currently running on numerous sites for the sixth
annual EUR1,500 + EUR200 buy-in Belgium Open Poker Championships which take
place at the Casino de Namur in Belgium next month, from Nov. 21 to 29.
There are many inexpensive ways players can win a seat in the main event.
At PokerStars.com, satellites begin at $5 + $0.50, with one seat on offer for
the weekly $25 + $2 buy-in satellite per every $27 in the prize pool. This
event then sees one seat on offer for the $200 + $15 buy-in monthly final for
every $215 in the prize pool. The monthly final will give away a Belgium Open
Poker Championship package per every $4,500 in its prize pool. These
satellites can be found in the "Events" section of the PokerStars lobby,
under "Special".
Alternatively, hopefuls can start climbing the Sit 'n' Go Steps at
EverestPoker.com for just $2 to reach their seat in Namur. Players can use
their Step 5 tokens or buy in directly to any $336 + $24 Belgium Open
qualifier listed under the "Steps" tab of the "Sit 'n' Go Tournaments"
section in the Everest Poker lobby. Elsewhere, bwin Poker will hold a
freeroll for Belgian players.
EUR50 + EUR10 unlimited rebuy live satellites for the main event are held
every Tuesday and Saturdays at 20:00 (CET) and Sundays at 15:00 (CET) at the
Namur Casino in Belgium, and on Thursday at 20:00 (CET) at its sister Spa
Casino. Main event satellites will also take place at the casino on Nov. 21
(EUR100+10 plus rebuy and add on), Nov. 22 (EUR200+20 freezeout), and Nov. 23
(EUR300+30 freezeout).
Last year Dutch player Sijbrand Maal beat an 843-strong field to take
home EUR315,875 for first place. This year the event aims to attract up to
1,000 players, in turn creating an estimated prize pool of EUR1.5 million.
Big names such as Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier , Arnaud Mattern, Ludovic
Lacay, Lex Veldhuis, Davidi Kitai, Noah Boeken, Marcel Luske, Marc Naalden,
and last season's EPT grand final champion Pieter De Korver have already
signed up, with more expected.
Another big attraction this year is the new heads-up team event which
will see teams of four battle each other in heads-up matches across two days
(day one split into 1A+1B). This unique tournament will kick off on Nov. 23,
and the buy-in is EUR10,000 + EUR500 per team of four. Those interested in
taking part in both the team event and the main event can purchase a
combination package for EUR5,125.
