Even before I’ll Have Another reached the winner’s circle at Churchill Downs earlier this month, six guests at the Casino at Ocean Downs were celebrating their successful bet on his win—and, even more so, the second-, third- and fourth-place finishes they also predicted. The superfecta paid $47,000 for each of the three winning tickets.

Anthony and Debra Kipps of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Stephanie and David Grant of Chesapeake, Virginia, shared one of the winning tickets. The other two tickets were purchased by guests from Maryland.

“Triple Crown weekends are naturally a great time at the casino, but that afternoon was particularly fun,” said Joseph Cavilla, general manager of the Casino at Ocean Downs. “It’s great to be a part of such an exciting visit for some of our guests.”

The excitement continued the following weekend as both I’ll Have Another and Ocean Downs enjoyed the same kind of success during the Preakness as well. Ocean Downs regulars and new visitors enjoyed a preview party and placed bets in the Clubhouse and at the outside betting windows and great food and drink specials before watching the race on the giant screen on the Ocean Downs Racetrack.
