Cost of services refers to the total cost associated with providing a service, usually in the phone companies, satellite radio, telecommunications and wireless communications industries.

In the case of the above industries, this metric usually includes expenses for satellite and transmission, programming and content, customer service and billing, and costs from the sale of equipment.
