With the stock market hitting all-time highs pretty much every day, there are not that many stocks that have low valuations today. Some of my favorite companies such as Coca-Cola (KO) are trading at over 22 times earnings, which is above what I am willing to pay for this otherwise excellent business.
As a result I focused on the list of dividend champions, and uncovered the following...

Last month I pulled the trigger on a well known U.S company that you just might have heard of, that is unless you were raised by wolves in the mountains. Coca Cola is probably the most recognized product on the planet and it all started as a brain tonic back in 1886.
Coca Cola may seem like a no-brainer investment, but to be honest, it wasn’t an easy choice for me. Let’s face it, sugar water is not exactly the most healthy product to consume. A few years ago there was big uproar...
On Mar 26, we maintained a Neutral recommendation on cola giant, The Coca-Cola Company (KO), following mixed fourth-quarter results announced on Feb 12, 2013.
Why the Neutral Recommendation?
Coca-Cola’s fourth quarter earnings of 45 cents per share marginally beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 44 cents by a penny. Moreover, earnings grew 15% from the prior-year quarter [...]
With the market at all-time highs, many quality income stocks are getting close to being overvalued. As a result, many investors are tempted to postpone new purchases until there is some sort of a correction. While many household names like Coca-Cola (KO) are fully valued at the moment however, there are many othe companies which are trading at attractive valuations. These of course are not the rock bottom valuations we saw in late 2008 and early 2009, but nevertheless represent cheap entry...
(Reuters) - Coca-Cola Co said on Thursday it will lay off 750 people in the United States as the world's largest soft drinks maker streamlines its business three years after a big acquisition.
The job cuts, which will be across the board, represent about 1 percent of the company's workforce of 75,000 in North America. About [...]
The Dow Jones Industrial Average crossed back over the 14,000 point mark today, a level it's been hovering just under or just over for the last couple of weeks. It's no secret the stock market has been like a rocket ship since the beginning of the year. As such, us value investors that focus on dividend growth stocks trading at attractive long-term prices relative to their intrinsic value face an uphill battle. What I've been focusing on over the last few weeks is buying quality on dips, as...
You don't have to be a billionaire guru to benefit from this strategy -- you just have to act like one.

Diet Pepsi is changing their sweetener before launching a major rebranding campaign next month. PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP) is trying to strengthen its brand after constantly losing market share to The Coca-Cola Company (NYSE:KO) for years. The newer cans of Diet Pepsi in the shelves list two new artificial sweeteners that are present in newer diet [...]
A little anecdotal evidence goes a long way.
It's one thing to see the numbers on the page. It's another thing to be out in the marketplace and actually see what a company is doing.
This kind of boots-on-the-ground reconnaissance is one of the best ways to find what I call The Next Big Thing.

The Coca-Cola Company trading under the ticker KO is different from the bottler Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc trading under the ticker CCE on the NYSE. As a multi-national company, Coca-Cola has bottlers in many countries of the world and each operate as an independent company and their stocks trade under separate tickers. In this post, lets take a [...]
Many traders now understand that buy-and-hold strategies can suffer from steep losses for years at a time. This knowledge was probably acquired from expensive first-hand experience. In a strong bull market that lasts for decades, buy and hold is a sound investment strategy. But in a long-term bear market like the one that has provided [...]
Over the last few months, I’ve been shifting my view of my entire portfolio from being a collection of “stocks” to a collection of “businesses”. This is also a point that fellow blogger Dividend Mantra pointed out, in his recent post, Warren Buffett’s Wise Words. Mantra’s recent post really hit home for me and I’m sure for many other dividend investors as well. A recent post on the Dividend Ninja by Dan Mac, Find Investment Success with a Business Point of View, also...

This mornings trade was an entry in
The Coca-Cola Company
(NYSE:KO.)
The stock fell fast into a prior demand zone as the market started off strong. I was thinking that this was a panic sell off and placed me buy order below the demand zone. As it broke the zone folks kept on selling as stops were hit and I was able to add to my position when KO went on sale. My profit target is above at $38.62.
UPDATE 10/17/2012:
Added to position yesterday AP $38.01. Profit target $38.62. Trade...

Coca Cola stock has been on a bit of a bull run lately, and is now over $80/share.
It’s kind of a shame in a certain sense; I’d love to pick up more shares at the right price. Value investors of course want stock values to be low while the underlying company performance is strong, so that reinvested dividends, or fresh capital, or even the company’s own share buybacks, are able to buy more shares.
I wouldn’t exactly call it overvalued; with a 2.5% dividend yield and over 8%...

Picture this; 200 coal miners stranded in the mines, overwhelming traffic delays, and a halt in electronic trading. Catastrophic would be an understatement, right? As ugly as it seems, this is just a sneak peek of the situation that hit India at the beginning of the week.
