3/22/13Today's Buy Candidates (Samurai Trader)

These are the buy candidates from yesterday's price relative scan. The setups are starting to look a lot better. There were a lot of high scoring 20 day breakouts yesterday, they are also looking pretty good here. I may be adding to existing positions today.

3/20/13SSYS vs. DDD: Is it Too Late to Invest in 3D Printing? (Investment U)

It’s rare these days to get in on the ground floor level of an investable trend in technology. It seems like most of the big technological leaps have already taken place. Whether it’s something as dramatic as a smartphone or as subtly useful as paid search, these huge ideas don’t come around often. That said, 3D printing [...]

1/17/13Today's Buy Candidates (Samurai Trader)

DDD is yesterday's price relative buy candidate. It looks very extended here and what's worse is that it has been going up but not out performing the market until yesterday. SPNC is the 50 day breakout, and it looks pretty good. There are too many 20 day breakouts to fit on the screen, but VMED is the one I am most interested in especially since it broke out yesterday and is now pulling in to retest the breakout point. Here are the other 20 day breakouts.

DDD was just about the nicest looking breakout today. It is unusual in that on a gap up, the top of the gap marks a pivot point, but here the obvious pivot point is at the previous breakout point. The volume pattern here is not very good, and CMF went sharply negative due to heavy selling on high volume up days (notice that there are several closes near the low pf the day's range). Despite all that the price relative line does not look half bad, and it might have a decent chance of hitting...

12/1/11Printable Bones are the New Best Friend for the Accident Prone (Wall Street Daily)

Forget using inkjet printers for boring, two-dimensional tasks. The era of 3-D printing has officially arrived. Companies like Stratasys (Nasdaq: SSYS) and 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) are using specially made 3-D printers to create anything from machine parts to custom prosthetics. Heck, regenerative medicine company, Organovo, has even unlocked the secret to printing human organs from scratch. So doctors can soon [...]

6/27/11(DDD) 3D Printing Comes of Age (Stock Blog Hub)

by Ryan Cole, Investment U Research Analyst Monday, June 27, 2011 Yet again science fiction is becoming science fact. This time, it’s the Star Trek replicator. Granted – we don’t have the technology to rearrange molecules as we wish yet, as they do on the USS Enterprise. Still – the 3D printer comes close. As [...]
