SOUTH BEND, Ind., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- White Lodging of Merrillville, IN, in conjunction with Kite Realty Group of Indianapolis, IN, is pleased to announce that they have closed on the financing and commenced construction on the new Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott at Notre Dame. The hotel will be open for the 2010 Notre Dame Football season.
The deal with 1st Source Bank of South Bend marks White Lodging's second hotel development project to receive financing in the past three months.

Located directly across from Notre Dame Stadium, the Fairfield Inn & Suites will include 119 guestrooms and suites. Plans include upgrades to the exterior and interior design of the hotel to reflect its coveted location adjacent to the University of Notre Dame.
The hotel will be part of Eddy Street Commons at Notre Dame, a 600,000-plus square foot mixed-use development led by Kite Realty Group that includes retail, office, hotels, and private residences. A 1,281 space parking garage has also been developed for guests and tenants of the complex.
