This excerpt taken from the ATVI DEFA14A filed Dec 5, 2007. Mike Morhaime - Activision - CEO - Blizzard Entertainment
Its really unprecedented, the kind of response weve received to World of Warcraft. Theres no other comparables that you can look at and really compare it to. What I can tell you is that our concurrency in the markets that were in continues to rise and our job - we have a fantastic development team thats working on new content thats goal is to keep the game engaging, entertaining and interesting, and we have a very large TV campaign going into the holiday season this year that we think is going to be very successful.
Bobby Kotick - Activision - Chairman, CEO
And, as you can imagine, Jeetil, we spent a lot of time on our own really trying to understand the dynamics of those nine million subscribers and we got very comfortable with the predictability and the sustainability of the revenues in World of Warcraft and were as enthusiastic as anyone at our company, both as consumers and also from an investment perspective on the potential for StarCraft and Battle.net.
As far as our own share, we continued to make significant share gains, and I think when you see the results for the end of this calendar year, youll see that weve continued to make share gains against many of our competitors. We hope that that can continue over the next few years, as well.
