On January 15, 2008, Aeropostale, Inc. (the Company) learned that the Securities and Exchange Commission (the SEC) had issued a formal order of investigation with respect to matters arising from those events disclosed in the Companys Form 8-K, dated November 8, 2006 which resulted from the activities of our former Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer. The SECs investigation is a non-public, fact-finding inquiry to determine whether any violations of law have occurred. The Company intends to cooperate fully with the SEC in its investigation.
