Mr. Geier, an advertising professional, became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. in 1980. He retired from this position at the end of December 2000 after 20 years as Chief Executive Officer and now serves as Chairman Emeritus. The

In February 2001, Mr. Geier formed The Geier Group to provide consulting/advisory services in the marketing, communications and venture capital areas. Mr. Geier is a Senior Advisor for Lazard Frères & Co. LLC and serves on the board of directors for the following companies: AEA Investors, Inc.; Fiduciary Trust International; Foot Locker Inc.; and Mettler-Toledo International, Inc.
