Apple expects its employees, and those of Apples subsidiary corporations, worldwide, to comply with all Apple ethical and business principles, as well as all policies, to rely on their own high standards and reasoned evaluation in ambiguous situations, and to seek the advice and counsel of Apple management, the Human Resources Department, or the Apple Law Department to clarify issues not covered by this policy or good judgment. These principles and policies are based in part on various laws. Violations of those laws may result in civil and criminal penalties for Apple and its employees. Therefore, Apple will take appropriate action, which may include termination of employment or other business relationship, or legal action, or referral to law enforcement authorities.
