served as the Chief Executive Officer of Google since July 2001 and as a
member of Google’s Board of Directors since March 2001, where he served as
Chairman of the Board from March 2001 to April 2004. In
April 2004, Dr. Schmidt was named Chairman of the Executive Committee
of Google’s Board of Directors. From April 1997 to November 2001,
Dr. Schmidt served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of
Novell, Inc. (“Novell”), a
computer networking company, and, from April 1997 to July 2001, as
the Chief Executive Officer of Novell. Dr. Schmidt was a director of
Siebel Systems, Inc. until January 2006.
