ARA Safety's Fire Interruption Technology Saves Millions in July

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/30/09 -- Two properties worth a combined $2 million are still standing and safe today thanks to ARA Safety's Fire Interruption Technology and the fire departments that have this powerful tool in their toolbox.

In Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, a mansion could have suffered significant fire damage after the vintage car in its garage caught fire, but it didn't. Two Fire Interruption Technology devices deployed into the large garage by the Assistant Chief, held the fire at bay while crews arrived and stretched lines. Incredibly, damage was contained almost entirely to the garage.

In rural Sechelt, BC, the fire department contained a storage room fire with Fire Interruption Technology before it could spread to the house. FIT was deployed eleven minutes before water was available, saving the family's home. This is the fourth time the Sechelt Fire Department has saved property with Fire Interruption Technology.
