These excerpts taken from the BP 11-K filed Jun 23, 2009. Investment Options Participants may elect to invest in numerous investment options offered under their respective plan. Participants may change the percentage they contribute and the investment direction of their contributions at any time. Company contributions are made in the form of cash contributions and are invested in funds selected by participants. Participants may elect to sell any portion of their investment fund(s) and reinvest the proceeds in one or more of the other available investment alternatives. Except where the fund provider, the recordkeeper, or the plan has restrictions or takes discretionary action responsive to frequent trading or market timing concerns, there are no restrictions on the number of transactions a participant may authorize during the year. Effective September 1, 2009, the investment options offered under the Plans are being revised. The revised investment options will comprise target date funds, index funds, short-term investment fund, stable value fund and the BP stock fund. Several investment options currently offered will be eliminated.
