4.    Provision of Information by and/or to the HM Revenue & Customs

 

Securities holders who are individuals may wish to note that HM Revenue & Customs has power to obtain information (including the name and address of the beneficial owner of the interest) from any person in the United Kingdom:

 

  •  

who either pays interest to or receives interest for the benefit of an individual; or

 

  •  

who either pays amounts payable on the redemption of debt securities which are deeply discounted securities (for the purposes of the Income Tax (Trading and Other Income) Act 2005) to, or receives such amounts for the benefit of, an individual. Such information may, in certain circumstances, be exchanged by HM Revenue & Customs with the tax authorities of other jurisdictions.
