The public sector Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and Toshiba Corporation of Japan today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the possibility of forming a joint venture to address the transmission and distribution (T&D) business in India and other mutually agreed countries.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged Rs 10,160mn contract for the electro-mechanical equipment package for a 1,200 MW (6x200 MW) Hydroelectric project in Bhutan.The order envisages manufacture, supply, erection and commissioning of the electro-mechanical equipment for the 1,200 MW Punatsangchhu-I Hydroelectric project.
