RADNOR, Pa., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brandywine Realty Trust (NYSE: BDN) sadly announced today that Donald Everett Axinn, Trustee, passed away Monday evening, at the age of 80 after a prolonged illness.
Mr. Axinn served on Brandywine's Board of Trustees since 1998 and was a member of the Corporate Governance and Compensation Committees. He was the founder and chairman of the Donald E. Axinn Companies, an investment firm and developer of office and industrial parks throughout the New York metropolitan area. Mr. Axinn was a published author of poetry and novels, and produced a film, SPIN, from his novel of the same name. Mr. Axinn was proud to have recently published his latest novel, Allan, Burning, in June of this year. Mr. Axinn was also an avid pilot, successful real estate developer and philanthropist. He co-founded the Interfaith Nutrition Network, which provides shelters and kitchens for the homeless and hungry on Long Island.
