UK Green Investment Bank plc has recently committed GBP 28 million of debt finance to a new GBP 142 million energy-from-waste (EfW) plant near Edinburgh, Scotland. The 14.1 MW facility is expected to treat up to 155,000 metric tons of waste annually.
More than £13 million ($17.12 million) in funding has been committed to a new anaerobic digestion plant in Nottinghamshire, U.K., that will generate renewable energy. The facility will take in poultry litter, straw, and other materials as feedstock.
