CNH Global announced an increase of 82 percent in Q3 profit due to higher sales volume. The net income for the quarter was $122 million, compared to $67 million last year. The revenue increased from $2.92 billion to $3.83 billion this year. The increase was mainly due to strong agricultural demand in Western Europe and the Americas, which resulted in higher sales of tractors and combines. The company expects a y-o-y decrease in heavy and light construction equipment sales in North America due to decline in homebuilding.
