CAREER EDUCATION CORPORATION RECEIVES NOTICE OF SHAREHOLDER’S INTENT TO FILE ALTERNATIVE SLATE OF BOARD NOMINEES

 

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL, February 17, 2006 – Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ:CECO)  stated today that it received from shareholder Steven Bostic a Stockholder’s Notice of Intent to Nominate Persons for Election as Directors of Career Education Corporation.  The Notice, delivered to the company yesterday, sets forth Bostic’s intent to nominate himself as a candidate for the Board, as well as James E. Copeland, Jr. and R. William Ide, both of the Atlanta, Georgia area.
