Eletrobras to Host Investor Luncheon at the New York Stock Exchange Euronext

RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras S.A. - "Eletrobras" or "the Company" (NYSE: EBR; Latibex: XELTO and XELB; BOVESPA: ELET3 and ELET6), will host Eletrobras Day 2009 at The New York Stock Exchange on Monday, October 5, 2009. The event will feature a presentation by Mr. Jose Antonio Muniz Lopes, Chief Executive Officer, followed by a question and answer session.

Eletrobras Day 2009 will take place from 12:00pm to 2:00 pm and lunch will be served. This event is by invitation only and space is limited.
