Drop in Comp Sales Management announced a larger-than-expected drop in comp sales during the month of October, up to 10.6 percent. This downward trend has been occurring since 2006, but is particularly pronounced this month due to unusually warm weather during the launch of a new season, resulting in lower-than-expected turnout. Chico’s FAS reports a fall of $15.1 million in Q2 net income Chico’s FAS announced a net income of $38.7 million for Q2, as compared to $53.8 million last year. Operating profit of the company also decreased from $83.1 million last year to $57.8 million this year.
