This excerpt taken from the CCO 10-Q filed Nov 10, 2008. Recent Accounting Pronouncement In April 2008, the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) issued FASB Staff Position No. FAS 142-3, Determination of the Useful Life of Intangible Assets (FSP FAS 142-3). FSP FAS 142-3 amends the factors an entity should consider in developing renewal or extension assumptions used in determining the useful life of recognized intangible assets under FASB Statement No. 142, Goodwill and Other Intangible Assets (Statement 142). FSP FAS 142-3 removes an entitys requirement under paragraph 11 of Statement 142 to consider whether an intangible asset can be renewed without substantial cost or material modifications to the existing terms and conditions. It is effective for financial statements issued for fiscal years and interim periods beginning after December 15, 2008, and early adoption is prohibited. We will adopt FSP FAS 142-3 on January 1, 2009. We are unable to estimate the impact of adoption at this time due to the fact that FSP FAS 142-3 is dependent upon acquisitions that may or may not happen in the future.
