Clipper Windpower PLC (Clipper ... LON:CWP) is a wind energy technology, turbine manufacturing and wind project development company founded in 2001. Clipper's flagship product is the 2.5 megawatt "Liberty" wind turbine.

The company's headquarters are in Carpinteria, California, but shares trade on the London Stock Exchange (Alternative Investment Market). Clipper has offices in the USA (California, Colorado, Iowa and Maryland), Mexico, Denmark and the United Kingdom, one factory in the USA (Iowa), and employs about 700 people worldwide.

Although well-placed as a USA-based company to take advantage of the anticipated growth in the wind power market, the company has yet to turn a profit, due to problems with gearboxes and blades requiring extensive field repairs of installed wind turbines.

The company has announced plans to open a factory in England.

Clipper competes with other wind turbine manufacturers such as Gamesa (GCTAF), General Electric Company (GE), Siemens AG (SI), Suzlon, and Vestas (VWSYF).
