Copa Holdings, S.A. (CPA)Stock (Airlines Industry, Transportation Industry)Copa Holdings is the parent company for Panama City, Panama based Copa Airlines and Bogata Columbia based Aero Republica. With their fleet of modern Boeing 737 aircraft the airlines serve cities through out North, Central and South America and the Carribean. As of this writing Copa Airlines offers 126 daily flights to 41 destinations in 22 countries. Aero Republica offers service to 12 cities in Columbia and to Copa's hub in Panama City.
[edit] Fleet and Hub infoCopa Airlines has a fleet of 37 aircraft consisting of 20 Boeing 737-700, 6 Boeing 737-800 and 11 Embraer 190AR. The fleet average age is less than 4 years old. Copa Airlines was the first in Latin America to use "blended winglet" technology on their 737s. These winglets reduce fuel consumption by 3.5%. Approximately 10% of the seats in all aircraft is Business Class. Aero Republica's fleet consists of 13 aircraft, 7 EMB190s and 6 MD-80s. The MD-80s are scheduled to be replaced by the more fuel efficient Embraers. Three MD-80s were retired in 2007. Copa Airlines flies a hub and spoke schedule out of their terminal, Hub of the Americas, at the Tucomen International Airport, Panama City, Panama. From the Hub of the Americas, Copa flies direct to all of the airline's destinations, allowing fast connections between North, Central and South America.In the U.S., Copa serves Los Angeles, New York, Washington, D.C.
