The Corporate Executive Board Company (CEB) (Nasdaq/NM: EXBD) is a leading provider of best practices research and analysis focusing on corporate strategy, operations and general management issues. The company provides its integrated set of services currently to more than 3,700 of the world's largest corporations, including over 80% of the Fortune 500 corporations.

These services include best practices research studies decision-support tools, executive education seminars, Customized research briefs and web-based access to program content database. The Company offers 43 research programs, each focusing on one of 10 practice areas, which include human resources, strategy and research and development, information technology (IT), sales and marketing, corporate finance, legal and compliance, operations and procurement, financial services, communications, and general management.

Corporate Headquarters based in Washington, D.C., has more than 2,500 total employees as of Dec 18, 2007. With over $460 M revenue for FY 2006, the company has operations in Chicago, San Francisco, London and India. As part of The Advisory Board Company (ABC), which also provides best practices and research for healthcare sector, CEB was established in 1987 and later spun off from ABC in 1999.

CEB provided services to its members primarily on an annual subscription basis. Because of shares services, the company enjoys significant economies of scale and scope in providing research. In June, 2007 CEB launched Executive Productivity Network ("The EPN") which offers senior executives a channel through which they can have their most urgent questions answered through quick access to their peers. In Aug, 2007 the company acquired ITtoolbox for $58.9 million
