The break above $35.40 was not helpful. While one close above our breakdown point is not such a big deal, it certainly does not give me confidence that this level is a strong wall of resistance. With the QQQQs, SPY, IWM and DIA not providing us a...
FierceBiotech  Jun 24
The second day of the annual DIA show offered attendees a chance to pick the brains of high-ranking FDA officials. At two separate sessions, FDA experts spoke about trends affecting the industry and took questions from the audiences about specific...

Checking the open interests is a good way to determine where the indices may close on expiration on Friday.
Shocked Investor  Jun 15
In May we posted an article on the current rally having no volume. We showed that SPY was trading with volumes 31% lower than average, and DIA with volumes 54% lower than average: Today we have a good drop in prices. The question is whether the...

By far the most secret and least accountable operation of the federal government is not, as one might expect, the CIA, DIA, or some other super-secret intelligence agency. The CIA and other intelligence operations are under control of the...
Condor Options  May 28
In Part I, our Performance Comparison for May showed an average return per trade of 6.40%, with a model portfolio* return of 5.13%—compared to the S&P 500's gain of 1.53%. Here are the trades that got us there:

DIAMONDS Trust Series I (DIA)

DIA (aka Diamonds) is the symbol of the Unit Investment Trust (UIT) that represents the thirty (30) stocks that comprise the Dow Jones Industrial Average and closely emulates the Dow Jones Industrial Average Index.

The DIA is really an ETF that tracks the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The DIA tracks the Dow very closely. In fact the only difference is the decimal point placement in the prices. For example if the DJIA is at 8112, the DIA will be 81.12

You can trade your views on the DIA by buying options on this instrument. If you are bullish the Dow, you can buy Call options, and if bearish, you can buy put options.

The options on this symbol are very liquid so you will have no problems getting in and out.
