Guided by customer feedback, Daktronics engineers developed this new generation of Fuelight display with improved aesthetics and a continued focus on quality and reliability.
"The primary goal for this new series was to give the market a modern looking display with increased reliability. The combination of exceptional reliability, simple and effective design and low selling price places the Fuelight 3000 display as the undisputed value leader in the industry," said Mike Gunderson, Daktronics Fuelight product manager.
The Fuelight 3000 display was rigorously tested in Daktronics state-of-the-art reliability lab. The digits, electronic components and connectors are all fully sealed to ensure uninterrupted performance, even in harsh weather. Upgraded signal and power components provide improved protection from power surges. Convection ventilation keeps the display operating at a cool temperature.
The new digit design for this display makes Daktronics petroleum price displays more effective at catching the attention of a business' front-door audience. It features a wide-stroke font that users can customize and full-height digits to increase price visibility. The new display also contains more LEDs to further enhance brightness. The LEDs are exposed, providing superior visibility even in direct sunlight.
Laurel Hudgens, manager of Cenex Zip Trip #64 in Brookings, S.D., recently installed three Fuelight 3000 series petroleum price displays at her store. She said the display has lived up to its claims and her expectations.
"The new design is impressive; the digits have a more attractive appearance that makes my prices stand out. My display now looks nicer than the other area convenience store displays," she said.
In addition to the new look, users like Hudgens will also notice the display saves them time and money. It does not require a ground rod, which results in lower installation costs. It features plug and play capability that speeds up installation. The series' diagnostic system makes troubleshooting and problem resolution simple.
"We designed, built, tested and improved several versions of this product to arrive at the final design," said Gunderson. "Daktronics is proactive in seeking to resolve issues before they have the opportunity to arise."
The Fuelight 3000 series is available in 8, 12, 16, 18, 24 and 30-inch digit heights and in monochrome red, green and amber. The series is UL and cUL recognized and comes standard with a two-year warranty.
