BlueHornet Networks Announces New Pay-for-Performance Email Solution for Retailers

BlueHornet Networks, Inc., a leading provider of email marketing solutions and subsidiary of Digital River, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRIV), announced a new pay-for-performance email marketing solution designed exclusively for retailers. The new offering, which represents the most advanced version of BlueHornet’s flagship eMarketing Suite (eMS) to date, is called eMS Commerce Optimizer. It is designed to help retailers drive incremental online and in-store revenue streams through retail-specific features, lifecycle email messaging techniques, and consulting services.

BlueHornet will feature its new email marketing platform at the DMA09 Conference & Exhibition in booth #3125. DMA09 is being held Oct. 17-22 at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, Calif.

eMS Commerce Optimizer is priced with the retail marketer in mind. Pay-for-performance options protect retailers from over paying for underperforming campaigns or emails that are affected by seasonal fluctuations and other factors that might impact profits. eMS Commerce Optimizer also offers retailers an option to pay in advance for a customized package of emails and services. By taking advantage of this pre-paid bundled option, retailers can avoid budgeting challenges associated with standard cost per thousand (CPM) pricing.

eMS Commerce Optimizer combines these business advantages with a rich set of retail-specific, email marketing features, including:

  • Built-in data segmentation – offers marketers access to commerce and web behavior data so that they can use email to target customers by variables, such as customer lifetime value, purchase frequency, purchase recency, cart abandonment and more.
  • “Snapshot in time” customer segment reporting enables retailers to chart customer activity by demographic to optimize campaigns.
  • Transactional messaging delivers automated, trackable HTML purchase confirmations and other transaction-related emails that can be edited on the fly.
  • ROI tracking reports e-commerce revenue generated from an email campaign so retailers can evaluate results and make more informed business decisions.
  • Enhanced dynamic content capabilities – includes dynamic content features so retailers with large product lines can upload, append or edit numerous dynamic content elements at once.

“Email sits solidly among the most cost-effective ways to drive sales,” said Susan Tull, vice president of marketing, BlueHornet Networks. “However, ongoing program optimization requires investment in technology and strategic resources. Marketers understand these requirements, but when faced with challenges around building a business case for greater investment in their email program, they’ve instead opted to negotiate for the lowest CPM possible. eMS Commerce Optimizer helps retail marketers build a strong business case for success.”
