TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/22/09 -- This Remembrance Day, Applebee's Neighbourhood Grill and Bar® is opening its heart and restaurants nationwide to honour Canada's military by offering a delicious entree on the house.

On Wednesday, November 11, the restaurant chain is inviting veterans and active duty Canadian Forces to bring their Canadian Forces ID, along with friends and family, to their neighbourhood Applebee's to enjoy a hearty entree. The brave men and women will have their choice of six dishes from a signature menu including Applebee's House Steak, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne or Chipotle Bacon Burger, all served with the traditional sides.

Not only is this all-day promotion about thanking Canadian Forces, it's a great opportunity for friends and family of military personnel to come and share a "thank you", a laugh and a story face-to-face.

Last year, a limited number of Applebee's restaurants tested offering the military a free entree on Remembrance Day in Canada. Because the response was so positive, every Canadian Applebee's restaurant is extending the invitation this year.
