Diploma PLC is a United Kingdom-based company engaged in the distribution of specialized products and services. The Company operates through three segments: Life Sciences, Seals and Controls. The Life Sciences sector businesses supply a range of consumables, instrumentation and related services to research, environmental and clinical applications. The Seals sector businesses supply a range of hydraulic seals, gaskets, cylinders and attachment kits used in heavy machinery. The Controls sector businesses supply specialized wiring, connectors, fasteners and control devices used in a range of applications. As of August 28, 2007, the Company acquired 75% of AMT Vantage Holdings Inc (AMT). On August 3, 2007, it acquired 100% Cabletec Interconnect Components Systems Limited (Cabletec). As of August 22, 2007, the Company acquired 90% of M Seals A/S (M Seals). On June 26, 2007, it acquired the outstanding 5% of the share capital of its subsidiary HA Wainwright (Group) Limited.
