[As of July 08] No matter who comes out ahead in the election this fall, there is an undeniable political movement towards energy conservation. Regulation changes are probable, and regulated utilities are as easy target since they hae periodic reviews of their plans and energy sources as is. Demand response just makes sense; there is no reason to build another peaking power plant where demand response can reduce stress on the grid when needed and redistribute it to where it is needed.
