Extreme’s Black Diamond and Alpine products deliver modular or chassis-based Ethernet connectivity solutions for enterprises, data centers and service providers. These products have a range of management and line cards that allow its customers to configure and re-purpose the systems to meet specific needs. As with its Summit products, the Black Diamond and Alpine products in conjunction with its Extreme XOS operating system and its centralized management software product provide the density and performance required to serve in environments.
Wireless Ethernet controllers and access pointsThe Company offers its SummitWM family of wireless network controllers and associated Altitude access points to enable the deployment of nomadic and mobile converged network applications. Its wireless access products offer a range of performance options, including 802.11b/g to 802.11n.
Centralized Management softwareTo provide a central configuration, status and alerting capability the Extreme offers its EpiCenter management software system. This system provides the ability to deploy, configure, monitor and support its range of switching technology to enable its customers to reduce the overall cost of network administration and operations. This software system can exist as a management solution or it can operate as part of an infrastructure management environment.
