FLIR acquires the stock of Ifara Tecnologias, a company that produces software and hardware for imaging systems. Nexus, its middleware sensor platform can be incorporated into a wide range of systems including, CCTV's, UAV's and surveillance systems.
FLIR announced an increase of 28 percent in Q3 profit as there is a strong demand for its products across all divisions. The net income for the quarter was $34.8 million, or 45 cents per share, compared to $27.1 million, or 36 cents last year. The revenue also increased by 43 percent to $191.1 million, which was strengthened by a 70 percent increase in its Government Systems Division. Further, the company raised its 2007 earnings outlook and now expects earnings of $1.73-1.78 per share.
