Federal Signal Appoints Leo T. Mahon Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and Investor Relations

OAK BROOK, Ill., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE: FSS), a leader in advancing security and well-being for communities and workplaces around the world, today announced that Leo T. Mahon has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and Investor Relations. Since January 2009, Mr. Mahon has provided consulting services to Federal Signal in connection with the development and implementation of the Company's strategy to deliver long-term consistent, profitable growth, enhance earnings and cash flow, and create stockholder value.

In his new role, reporting to William H. Osborne, president and chief executive officer of Federal Signal, Mr. Mahon will have direct responsibility for Federal Signal's business development and corporate strategy functions. Mr. Mahon will also be responsible for investor relations.

Prior to that he served as a Vice President in the investment banking group at Morgan Stanley, and Audit Manager at KPMG. Mr. Mahon holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Accounting from Marquette University.
