GameStop to Host Midnight Openings for Brütal Legend and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves

GameStop (NYSE: GME), the world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer, today announced that it will host midnight openings for Electronic Arts’ Brütal Legend and Sony’s Uncharted 2: Among Thieves at more than 800 stores nationwide. On Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, both action-thriving rock n’ roll junkies and thieving treasure-seekers can visit participating GameStop locations to be the first to get their hands on the new games.
Most participating GameStop locations will open at 10 p.m. local time; however, customers are asked to contact their local store to confirm the exact time of the event.

Brütal Legend:
Customers that pre-order Brütal Legend from GameStop will receive an exclusive Tenacious D in-game guitar/weapon that will feature entirely new and different effects including a unique, sexy body inspired by Tenacious D, sound effects, voice over from Jack Black and a new visual effects suite.
