This excerpt taken from the GIS 10-Q filed Dec 19, 2007. Dividends: The board of directors may declare lawful dividends as and when it deems expedient. Before declaring any dividend, there may be reserved out of the accumulated profits such sum or sums as the board of directors from time to time, in its discretion, thinks proper for working capital or as a reserve fund to meet contingencies or for equalizing dividends, or for such other purposes as the board of directors shall think conducive to the interests of the corporation.
