Delivery of insulin through the mouth vs the lungs was the major debate. Generex took the oral route and others took the lung approach. Lung approach was a failure. The lung method led to selling on Generex becuase investors concluded that the inhaler and "bucal" delivery were the same. The opposite should have taken place--the competition was repudiated. There have been no known repudiations of the Generex approach making there market more unchallenged than ever. GNBT continues to gain goverenment approvals to sell globally. The rejection in 08 and general market pressues have discounted this stock to "steal levels".
Insulin is just the begining. Other medicines can be delivered using this method and Generex owns the patents to the delivery mechanism. This makes them a great acquisition target by a major pharma as well as being a great growth play. Wish I had more cash.
