Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (Genesee & Wyoming) owns and operates short line and regional freight railroads and provide railcar switching services in the United States, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands. As of December 31, 2009, it operated over approximately 6,000 miles of owned and leased track, and approximately 3,400 additional miles under track accessarrangements. The Company operated in 28 states in the United States, four Australian states, one Australian territory and two Canadian provinces and provided rail service at 16 ports in North America and Europe.
