WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Gibraltar Associates, a leading public affairs agency providing counsel on global and domestic communications and issues management, today announced that it has signed an agreement with GeoEye, Inc. (Nasdaq: GEOY) to serve as the company's public relations agency of record. Gibraltar will handle media relations for GeoEye's corporate communications and advise the Company on its public relations programs.

GeoEye, headquartered in Dulles, Virginia, is a premier provider of imagery, imagery information products and image processing services. Their products and services enable timely, accurate and accessible location intelligence for government and commercial markets worldwide. GeoEye initiated a search for an agency of record this summer.

The firm will also provide media relations counsel to further the goals of the GeoEye Foundation in fostering the growth of the next generation of geospatial technology professionals, providing satellite imagery for academic research and assisting non-governmental organizations in humanitarian support missions.
