Gran Tierra Energy to Host Third Quarter 2009 Results Conference Call on November 6th at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time

CALGARY, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (NYSE Amex: GTE, TSX: GTE), a company focused on oil exploration and production in South America, announced today that it will host its third quarter 2009 results conference call on Friday, November 6th at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET). Prior to the conference call, Gran Tierra Energy will release its financial results at 7:00 a.m. ET.

President and CEO Dana Coffield, CFO Martin Eden, and COO Shane O'Leary will discuss Gran Tierra Energy's financial and operating results for the quarter and then take questions from securities analysts and institutional shareholders.
