On November 27, 2007, Google and HTV announced an agreement under which HTV will become an official reseller of AdWords, using its existing sales force to market the program, an advertising platform for small and medium- sized businesses to find new clients through the Internet by targeting ads to searches.
Hearst Corporation announced that it will end its $600 million offer to buy the rest of Hearst-Argyle Television after the tender offer expired and the conditions of the offer were not met. Hearst Corporation already owns 73 percent in Hearst-Argyle Television and it was offering $23.50 per share for rest of Hearst-Argyle Television. Hearst-Argyle had earlier requested its shareholders to reject the deal as it feels that the company was undervalued.
