CHICAGO, June 20, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heidrick & Struggles International, Inc. (Nasdaq:HSII), the leadership advisory firm providing executive search and leadership consulting services worldwide, announced today that Lyn Brennan joined the firm as Partner within the Life Sciences Practice. She will be based out of New York.

A seasoned executive, having spent more than 30 years within the healthcare industry, Brennan brings extensive experience and a strong reputation for outstanding client work.

She comes to Heidrick & Struggles from Amrop Battalia Winston, where she served on the firm's Management Committee and led the New York-based executive search firm's Healthcare, Academic Medicine and Not-for-Profit Practice since 2003. During her time at Amrop, Brennan grew the practice significantly and was directly responsible for marketing, business development and leading senior executive searches for a wide array of clients.

Brennan began her search career in 1998 at Isaacson Miller, a Boston-based boutique search firm, after spending 21 years as a registered nurse and then in healthcare consulting at several large consulting firms, including Ernst & Young where she oversaw the development of the firm's healthcare operations practice.

Brennan holds a bachelor's degree from Georgetown University and Master of Arts degree from New York University.
